Addis Ababa Bole International Airport is the major hub for Ethiopian Airlines, one of the largest airports in Africa, and the main international gateway for the nation. The ultra-modern airport terminal was inaugurated on January 21, 2003. The second phase of terminal expansion work was also completed and inaugurated on January 28, 2019.

The Airport terminal had arrival and departure halls for international and domestic passengers, a VIP salon with new and dedicated building, an airport security office, and several offices and desks for different airlines and airways. There were immigration offices, an airport customs office and counter, self-check in kiosks for passengers, baggage drop-off counters, banks, duty-free shops, and other types of shops like jewelry, cultural clothes, and souvenirs. There are pharmacies, emergency clinics, hotel booths, telecom services, a tourist information center, international brand bars and restaurants, free Wi-Fi services, and airport information desks.
Terminal II of the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport is dedicated to rendering service for international flights, while Terminal I (currently refurbished and expanded) serve all domestic flights.
