Exit Row Seat Assignment Criteria
● Willingness to accept and perform exit row responsibilities.
● Minimum age of 15 years and ability to perform required tasks unassisted.
● No caregiving responsibilities for small children.
● No physical or psychological conditions that could impair performance.
● Adequate vision, hearing, and comprehension to understand exit operation instructions.
● Clear communication ability to inform and instruct others in emergencies.
● Physical strength and flexibility to operate exits, including removing hatches weighing up to 35 kg (65 lbs).
● Ability to stabilize the escape slide and assist other passengers during evacuation.
● Locate and operate the emergency exit.
● Understand and follow instructions for exit operation.
● Evaluate if opening the exit increases passenger risk.
● Follow crew directions and hand signals.
● Secure exit components to ensure clear passage.
● Assist passengers in evacuating through the exit and slide.
● Select and follow a safe escape route.
