Medical Information Form (MEDIF)

Guideline for Thailand Digital Arrival Card Immigration Bureau

This is to kindly bring to your attention on the attached letter from the AOC/Bangkok Airline Operators Committee, which outlines an important update regarding the entry process into Thailand

Starting May 1, 2025, all foreign travelers will be required to submit their arrival details digitally prior to entering Thailand. This new procedure aims to streamline immigration processes and ensure a smoother entry experience for visitors.

Accordingly, all passengers traveling to Thailand must adhere to the following requirements under the Thai Digital Arrival Card ( Guideline for Thailand Digital Arrival Card – Immigration Bureau ), effective from May 1, 2025:

  1. Submit Arrival Details: Travelers are required to complete an online form with their arrival information, including flight details, personal information, and travel plans
  2. Follow Official Channels: It is important that passengers use the official Thai immigration website or app to submit their arrival details. The portal can be accessed at: https://tdac.immigration.go.th.
  3. Prepare for Digital Verification: Travelers should ensure that they secure a digital copy or confirmation of their submission, which must be presented upon arrival in Thailand.
  4. The Digital Arrival Card must be completed within three (3) days prior to arrival in Thailand
  5. The correct website link to apply for an e-Visa is (https://www.thaievisa.go.th/).
  6. Passengers need to ensure to obtain proof of payment of the e-Visa fee, show sufficient funds for their stay, provide a hotel booking, and possess a return ticket.

Due to the current situation in Israel, Ethiopian Airlines flights to and from Tel-Aviv are cancelled until June 30, 2025, inclusive.
 
Important Update:
New Routing Option Available Instead of Tel Aviv. 
Passengers originally booked on flights from Addis Ababa to Tel Aviv may now be rerouted to Athens, Rome, or Amman.
This change is subject to the passenger signing a Form of Release
 
The document must be signed to rebook Addis TLV flight to Athens, Rome or Amman.
Please request the form from your travel agent or contact our call center.

This is subject to change, based on the security situation in Israel.
Ethiopian Airlines rebooking policy due to the Israel airport closure:
 
This approval is valid for travel from 13Jun25 until 30Jun25.
 
Rebooking/Date change - Passengers may change to a new flight from/to TLV within the same cabin of travel and lowest available booking class on an alternative date without change fee and fare difference.
 
Reroute - Passengers may change to a new flight from/to TLV within the same cabin and lowest available booking class of travel on an alternative date without change fee and fare difference. Reroute can be via ATH/VIE/BRU and other Europe gateways with LY (regular scheduled flights).
 
Alternative Destination Rerouting ADD-TLV:  Returnee passengers only on ADD - TLV may reroute their final destination to ATH (Athens) / ROM (Rome) / AMM (Amman) instead of TLV, only upon signing the attached release form. A Form of Release must be signed by the passenger to confirm acceptance of the alternative destination. This involuntary rerouting (INVO RRT to other destination instead of TLV) will be processed exclusively by TLV ET office.
 
Refund: Refundable and non-refundable tickets will be refunded fully with out charges. Refunds processed via GDS only.

The Israel local customer protection laws supersedes and precedence over this policy.

Ethiopian Customs Regulation

  • Ethiopian Customs regulation dictates that passengers continuing their journey further to Ethiopian domestic destinations via Addis Ababa are required to go through customs and clear their baggage at Addis Ababa. Baggage can be through checked-in up to final destination but passengers are required to collect their bags at the transit point and clear customs before dropping their baggage at domestic check-in counters.
  • Any passenger leaving Ethiopia is only permitted to take up to 2 kilograms of coffee products,  unless the Ethiopian Coffee & Tea Authority issues a special authorization.
